About Internship:
IIT Mandi has a summer internship program which aims at introducing undergraduate and postgraduate students to research so as to enthuse them, and to get them interested in a career in teaching and research. This is a one-two month(s) long residential programme and it combines hands-on research training with a variety of hardware and software analysis tools.
Eligibility:
- The programme is open only for MoU (s) Signed with IIT Mandi Institute(s)/College(s) /Universities candidates:
- For Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology: Only Pre final (i.e. 3rd year)
- For Postgraduate students: Only Pre final (01st year)

Important Instructions(s):
- Pre-Final year of B.Tech. / B.E. students and PG Students can apply.
- The interns are expected to work under the mentorship of IIT Mandi faculty member(s) in different areas.
- Applicants need to visit IIT Mandi website (Link) for finding the areas of research of faculty.
- Applicants need to specify the proposed area of work of potential supervisor.
- Duration for summer internship is one-two month(s).
- Selected interns will be supported financially @ Rs.10,000/- per month.
- Travel and living expenses will be borne by the intern.
- Screening of interns will be done by the schools/centres based on the credentials of applicants.
- Shortlisting and selection criteria may be different for different schools and centres.
- Selected candidates will have to arrange letter of recommendation/NOC from their Institute.
- Minimum duration of internship is one month and maximum two months.
- Selected students will be informed through e-mail.
