Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate – I (PAT-I) for a single post under the CSIR Fast-Track Translational Research Project titled “Microalgal based Sustainable Aviation Fuel through Biorefinery Model.” This Govt Biotech Job role involves research in microalgal biotechnology, focusing on mass cultivation, process optimization, and oil extraction at both lab and pilot scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct microalgal mass cultivation and process optimization.
- Perform oil extraction and nutraceutical formulation.
- Engage in process development and demonstration.
- Collaborate on research projects related to microalgal biotechnology.
Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Botany from a recognized university; OR
- B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering/Fermentation Technology/Bioprocess Engineering/Industrial Biotechnology.
Required Skills
- Research experience in microalgal biotechnology.
- Knowledge of microalgal mass cultivation techniques.
- Experience in valorization of microalgal biomass.
- Familiarity with microbial fermentation processes.
Monthly Emoluments
- Rs 31,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship) OR GATE OR national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments (DBT/DST or equivalent).
- Rs 25,000 + HRA for others.
