Chargesheet Filed Against Police HC for Alleged Job Fraud | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against Riyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar of Naroo Ratnipora, Pulwama, in connection with FIR No. 15/2025 under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) before the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate, Pulwama.

The case relates to allegations that HC Riyaz Ahmad Dar (Belt No. 53/IRP 21st Bn, ARP No. 993957) misused his position as a police officer to cheat multiple individuals by promising them government jobs. Following receipt of credible information, a preliminary enquiry was conducted at Police Station EOW Srinagar.

Investigations revealed prima facie evidence that the accused had collected money fraudulently from several persons by exploiting their aspirations and trust. On this basis, a formal case was registered at the Economic Offences Wing, Srinagar, and the chargesheet has now been submitted to the court for judicial proceedings.

The Crime Branch Kashmir stated that it remains committed to maintaining integrity, ensuring accountability, and taking strict action against corruption and fraudulent practices.
