These steps are aimed at limiting public exposure to toxic air and ensuring strict adherence to emergency pollution-control protocols in the district.
With Stage IV of GRAP now in force, staggered office timings have been introduced for all public offices under the State Government, as well as Municipal Corporations, Councils, and Committees in Gurugram. The revised schedule has come into effect immediately and will remain applicable until further notice during the enforcement of Stage IV.
According to an official post shared by DC Gurugram on X, the measures are part of a coordinated response to protect public health amid deteriorating air quality.
Under the new arrangement:
The DC highlighted that these changes are intended to reduce travel during peak pollution hours and minimise health risks for employees and the public.
In addition to government offices, private institutions and corporate offices in Gurugram have been advised to adopt work-from-home arrangements wherever possible. Offices are encouraged to function with 50% staff strength, with the remaining employees working remotely.
Authorities have stressed that the revised timings and remote work advisory are preventive measures designed to safeguard public health during a period of severe air pollution. Residents and institutions have been urged to cooperate fully and stay updated with official advisories as the situation continues to be monitored closely.
