Educational Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized Board
Domicile: Candidate must be domicile of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir with valid Domicile Certificate issued by Competent Authority
Nationality: Candidates must be citizen of India
Physical Standards for Males:
Height: 5 feet 6 inches (minimum)
Chest (unexpanded): 32 inches
Chest (expanded): 33½ inches
Physical Standards for Females:
Height: 5 feet 2 inches (minimum)
Height Relaxation: For candidates belonging to Gorkha Community/Bot Tribe, minimum height relaxable by 2 inches

Stage 1 – Written Examination:

Negative marking: One-fourth marks deduction for each wrong answer
NCC Bonus Marks: 5% for ‘C’ Certificate, 3% for ‘B’ Certificate, 2% for ‘A’ Certificate
Stage 2 – Physical Standard Test (PST):
Qualifying nature only
Candidates shortlisted: Six times the total vacancies in each category based on written test merit
Height relaxation of 2″ for Gorkha Community/Bot Tribe
Stage 3 – Physical Endurance Test (PET):
Qualifying nature only
Male: 1600 meters race in 6½ minutes, 20 push-ups
Female: 1000 meters race in 6½ minutes, Shot put (4 Kgs) 14½ feet in three attempts

Stage 4 – Medical Examination:
Selected candidates will be medically examined for physical and medical fitness

Candidates must possess valid Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K issued on or before cut-off date
All supporting documents must be legally valid on or before last date of application submission
No TA/DA will be paid for written test or document verification
Horizontal Reservation: 15% for women candidates, 15% for SPOs, 4% for VHGs
Ex-Servicemen cannot avail horizontal reservation benefit for subsequent employment after joining any post
