Job fair in Agartala provides employment to 135 youths

Agartala, 18th November 2025 : Under the Government of India’s National Career Service (NCS) project, the state’s Model Career Centre and District Employment Exchange, Agartala, organized a job fair today at the Labour Bhavan premises in Office Lane here. The fair aimed to facilitate recruitment in private companies.
A total of five organizations, including Life Insurance firms, security agencies, and PhonePe Limited, participated in the event. According to officials, 135 young men and women were recruited across eight categories.
Speaking about the initiative, Director Asim Saha said such job fairs are held regularly to provide employment opportunities to the state’s unemployed youth. He noted that the skills of local candidates have drawn interest from companies outside the state as well.
Saha further announced that a mega job fair will be organized in December, where several major firms from other states are expected to participate. Employment opportunities will be offered to candidates ranging from Class VIII pass-outs to B.Tech and M.Tech graduates, ensuring inclusivity across educational qualifications.
He urged the unemployed youth of the state to take part in the upcoming fair and expressed hope that the selected candidates would bring pride to Tripura in the future.
