Thiruvananthapuram: In a rare gesture, AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal surprised many on Monday by visiting a local restaurant alongside a food delivery worker to witness firsthand the challenges faced by gig workers.
The visit followed a discussion with members of the gig workers’ joint forum at an event held at the YMCA Hall. To understand their situation up close, Venugopal rode behind delivery boy Razal, a native of Peroorkada, to a hotel in the city.
