North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the vacancy or jobs of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Associate (PA) in a one-year project sponsored by the Science & Engineering Research Board purely on temporary basis in 2025 entitled “Development of triplet emitting d-metal complexes containing substituted polypyridine ligands for sensing and catalytic applications.”

Essential Qualification : First class MSc in Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry and Physics and Mathematics as minor subjects at the BSC level. NET/GATE qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience: The candidate should have work experience in the field of Inorganic Photochemistry.
Job Roles : The candidate has to design and synthesize different polypyridine ligand systems for making d-metal based phosphors with extendable applications in sensing and catalysis.
Remuneration : Rs. 37,000/- for NET(JRF) and Rs. 28,000/- per month for others (+8% HRA)
Age : Age not exceeding 27 years age of the date of interview.
