Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Climate Action & Sustainability: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/Climate Science with minimum 55% marks
• Economics: Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Financial Economics/Statistics/Data Science/Finance/Public Policy with minimum 55% marks
• Data Science: B.E./B.Tech in Information Technology/Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Artificial Intelligence & Data Science with minimum 60% marks
• Cyber Security: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/Cyber Security/Electronics and Communications Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR Postgraduate degree with minimum 55% marks

• UI/UX Designing: Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with minimum 60% marks in Graduation or minimum 55% marks in Postgraduation

Essential Qualifications

• Required educational qualification must be possessed as on 01-11-2025
• Result of final term/semester/year examination must have been declared on or before 01-11-2025
• Candidates whose final year/semester results declared after 01-11-2025 are not eligible
• All degrees must be from recognized University/Institution
• Minimum percentage as specified for each discipline is mandatory

Desirable

• Climate Action & Sustainability: Certifications in climate change management, sustainable development, or environmental policy
• Economics: Working knowledge of Visualisation tools (Tableau & Power BI), advanced quantitative and econometrics skills, knowledge of Stata/R, Excel
• Academic Administration: Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in learning and development, Certification in Instructional Design, LMS, ICT in Education
• Graphic Designing: Certifications in E-Learning tools, Adobe Certified Professional, UX Design, LMS, Articulate or Captivate certifications, SCORM/xAPI training
• Information Technology: Proficiency in Programming languages (Python, Java), knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, familiarity with web hosting, APIs, wireframing tools like Figma
• Geoinformatics: Certification in GIS tools like QGIS or ArcGIS
• UI/UX Designing: Relevant certification in UI/UX design/development

Experience (Mandatory)

• All Disciplines: Prior relevant experience of minimum 1 year in reputed organizations
• Climate Action & Sustainability: Minimum 1 year in climate change mitigation, adaptation, or sustainability
• Economics: Minimum 1 year in forecasting, financial modeling, preparation of impact balance sheets, exposure to domestic and international databases
• Data Science: Minimum 1 year, preference for projects involving banking technologies
• Cyber Security: Minimum 1 year in Information and Cyber security domain (preferably having worked in SOC)
• Academic Administration: Minimum 1 year in training, instructional design, learning experience design & learning and development
• Graphic Designing: Minimum 1 year in Graphic design, animation, e-learning tools, LMS, Adobe Creative Suite
• PR, Outreach and Documentation: Minimum 1 year in developmental filmmaking/social work outreach
• Information Technology: Minimum 1 year with experience in creating BRD or FSD, analyzing processes and designing workflows
• UI/UX Designing: Minimum 1 year as UI/UX designer and developer
• Software Testing: Minimum 1 year in reputed organization

Salary/Stipend

• Monthly Stipend: ₹70,000/- (All Inclusive)
• Income tax or any other tax liable will be deducted at source as per applicable rules before effecting payment
• The stipend is paid during the entire engagement period including training
• Young Professionals engaged on purely contractual basis

Age Limit 

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years
• Candidate must be an Indian citizen
• Candidate must have been born not earlier than 01-11-1995 and not later than 01-11-2004
• No age relaxation mentioned in the notification

Application Fee

• Application Fee cum Intimation Charges: ₹150/- (exclusive of applicable GST)
• Application Fee is Non-Refundable
• Application Fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances
• Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment will have to be borne by the candidate

Selection Process

• Step 1: Application Screening

  • Applications received from interested eligible candidates shall be placed before the Screening Committee
  • Screening for interview based on matrix of identified indicators like academic performance, relevance of work experience, overall profile, statement of intent

• Step 2: Interview

  • Shortlisted applications shall be placed before Young Professional Selection Committee (YPSC)
  • Final selection based on combined marks in Presentation and Interview conducted by YPSC
  • Interview will be conducted at respective NABARD Regional Offices of the States against which vacancies have been announced

• Medical Fitness: Final appointment subject to being declared medically fit by Medical Officer(s) appointed/approved by the Bank
• Document Verification: NABARD shall verify eligibility at stage of interview/joining
• Final Decision: Final appointment based on decision of Selection Committee constituted for the purpose
• Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria shall not vest any right to candidate for being called for interviews
• Decision of NABARD shall be final in all matters
• Travel for Interview: Candidates may be reimbursed to and fro 2AC rail fare for shortest route for attending interviews

General Information/Instructions

Program Duration

• Duration of engagement is 1 (one) year, extendable upto maximum three years
• Extension depends on performance of Young Professional and organizational requirements

Legal Status

• Young Professionals selected on short-term contract basis
• Shall not be considered as “staff member” or “official” of NABARD
• Engagement shall not establish relationship of employee and employer between NABARD and Young Professional
• No right/claim for placement in NABARD by virtue of engagement under Young Professional Program
• Appointed on full-time basis and shall not be permitted to take up any other assignment during engagement period

Leave Facility

• Young Professionals entitled to maximum 30 days leave in a calendar year during engagement period
• Leave provided on proportionate basis

Medical Facility

• Medical facility available for self only at NABARD Dispensary

Office Facilities

• Lounge facility, Tea/Coffee provided as per entitlement of officers of the bank
• NABARD will provide Office Space, Internet Connectivity, and other support facilities

Conduct, Discipline and Confidentiality

• Services governed by code of conduct as prescribed by NABARD
• Internal data must be kept confidential
• NABARD entitled to all intellectual property rights including patent, copyright, trademark developed during engagement
• Must furnish undertaking for maintenance of secrecy before commencement
• Subject to provisions of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013
• Shall not use name, letterhead, emblem or official seal of NABARD without prior permission

Termination

• NABARD can terminate contract at any time without prior notice and without providing any reason
• In normal course, NABARD may terminate engagement by giving one month’s notice in advance
• Young Professional can also seek termination by giving one month’s notice
• If notice period not served, Young Professional required to pay sum equivalent to one month’s pay
• Unauthorized absence of more than 8 days (not including public holidays and weekends) without valid explanation can lead to termination

Travel and Official Benefits

• For official domestic travel, eligible for halting, boarding and incidental allowances same as Grade A officer of NABARD
• In event of death, injury or illness during engagement, neither Young Professional nor dependents entitled to any compensation or employment
• Young Professionals solely responsible for maintaining adequate insurance (life, health) at own expense

Mentorship and Review

• Each Young Professional attached to mentor/supervising officer who acts as Project Guide
• Mentor responsible for regularly overseeing progress
• Assessment done jointly by Officer in Charge of Department/RO/TE and supervising officer
• Letter of Experience/Recommendation given at end of engagement period

• Should not suppress any material information
• If found guilty of misconduct/unfair means, liable to disqualification/debarment/termination

For Government/PSU Employees

• Applicants serving in Government/Quasi Government/PSU/Nationalized Banks required to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from employer at time of interview
• Before appointment, proper relieving letter indicating date of relief and no dues pending must be produced

Legal Jurisdiction

• Any legal proceedings can be instituted only in Mumbai
• Courts/tribunals/forums at Mumbai only shall have sole & exclusive jurisdiction

How to Apply

• Step 1: Visit NABARD website www.nabard.org
• Step 2: Under Career Notices, click on “APPLY ONLINE” option
• Step 3: Choose “Click here for New Registration” tab
• Step 4: Enter Name, Contact details and Email-id
• Step 5: System will generate Provisional Registration Number and Password
• Step 6: Note down Provisional Registration Number and Password (will also be sent via Email & SMS)
• Step 7: Before starting, prepare scanned documents:

  • Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) – 20kb-50kb, jpg format, 200×230 pixels
  • Signature (with black ink) – 10kb-20kb, jpg format, 140×60 pixels
  • Left thumb impression (on white paper with black/blue ink) – 20kb-50kb, jpg format, 240×240 pixels
  • Hand written declaration (on white paper with black ink) – 50kb-100kb, jpg format, 800×400 pixels
  • Latest CV/Resume in PDF format – 500KB

• Step 8: Declaration text: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
• Step 9: Use “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to save data and continue later if needed
• Step 10: Carefully fill and verify all details in online application
• Step 11: Upload Photo & Signature as per specifications
• Step 12: Fill other details of Application Form
• Step 13: Click on Preview Tab to verify entire application
• Step 14: Modify details if required
• Step 15: Click ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ only after verifying all details are correct
• Step 16: Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment
• Step 17: Pay application fee of ₹150/- (plus GST) using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/IMPS/Mobile Wallets
• Step 18: Wait for intimation from server after payment – DO NOT PRESS BACK OR REFRESH
• Step 19: On successful payment, e-Receipt will be generated
• Step 20: Click ‘Submit’ button to complete application
• Step 21: Take printout of e-Receipt and online Application Form for future reference

Important Points for Online Application

• Apply only for ONE discipline/location – multiple applications will lead to cancellation of candidature
• Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted
• Application will be rejected if only photo uploaded without signature
• Left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged
• Hand written declaration must be in candidate’s handwriting and in English only
• Keep valid personal email ID and mobile number active till completion of recruitment
• Name should be spelt correctly as in Certificates/Mark sheets/Identity proof
• No change possible after clicking ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ button
• Photo must be uploaded at place of photo and signature at place of signature

Action Against Candidates Found Guilty

• Carrying mobile phones or electronic devices in examination/interview hall not allowed
• May be debarred permanently or for specified period from any examination conducted by bank
• If already joined, services may be terminated
