Tripura introduces work-from-home system for 50% of Group C and D employees

The memorandum also instructed that similar guidelines be issued to public sector undertakings (PSUs), local bodies, and other autonomous or statutory bodies, as well as subordinate offices under the state government. The order will remain in force with immediate effect until further notice.

However, the arrangement will not apply to offices and personnel engaged in essential and emergency services, it added.

Tripura currently has around one lakh government employees, with a majority belonging to the Group C and D categories.
