DC Gurugram Issues Advisory to Provide Work from Home and Conduct Online Classes for Today Due to Extreme Rain and Waterlogging | Education News


DC Gurugram has issued an advisory asking corporate offices to provide work-from-home provisions for employees amidst heavy rainfall and a waterlogging situation. Schools have also been asked to conduct classes online for students to stop students and teachers from travelling.Â
Given the heavy rainfall situation in Gurugram and the possibility of waterlogging and traffic congestion at various locations across the district, the Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, has issued an advisory to grant work-from-home facilities to office-going employees in the district. The advisory issued has advised all corporate offices, government and private schools/ institutions in the region to provide their employees with a work-from-home provision for today, August 25, 2026.Â
The advisory to work from home has been issued to help reduce traffic congestion and facilitate smooth repair and maintenance on roads and drains by the civic bodies. Citizens have also been requested to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly.Â

In a separate advisory, DC Gurugram has stated that all government and private schools/ educational institutions in Gurugram are advised to conduct classes online today, August 25, 2026, due to the prevailing weather conditions and to avoid waterlogging and traffic-related congestion. The Work from Home advisory will continue to apply to corporate/ private offices as advised earlier, the advisory further states. Citizens have also been encouraged to follow the advisory and be cautious while travelling.
