Multiple new job listings suggest that online gaming platform Roblox is looking to enter the Indian market.
The job listings include roles such as moderation escalation specialist, payroll specialist, senior workday integration engineer, director of public policy and more. Adding further, High Chaos Run’s report says, “several Indian developers on condition of anonymity fearing retribution have stated that the Roblox Corporation has reached out for games to be made on its platform.”
Moreover, High Chaos Run’s report says that “those familiar with the situation” said that games which are going to be made for Roblox in India have to be for age 16 and more.
The report also mentioned a job listing by SuperGaming, which has since been removed, looking for a Roblox game developer. In the “What You’ll Do” section of the listing was mentioned “Develop, optimize, and ship Roblox experiences end-to-end using Roblox Studio and Lua scripting” and more.
Meanwhile, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton recently said that they’re going to sue Roblox for “putting pixel pedophiles and profits over the safety of Texas children.”
Roblox also announced new safety features recently such as submitting a “video selfie” after which an AI will guess the users age based on the video.
