In oversight, govt’s AIDS ‘site’ now posts fake jobs | Bhopal News

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Society’s (MPSACS) former website, mpsacsb.org, has been hijacked and now falsely promotes job opportunities, creating confusion and suspicion that MP’s AIDS control portal has been digitally “infected. The official MPSACS contact email, info@mpsacs.org, listed on the MP govt’s health department portal, is also compromised, raising the risk of citizens sharing sensitive information with unauthorised parties.According to an MPSACS official, the former .org domain lapsed when the developer contract was terminated. While a new domain, mpsacs.in, has been registered, the old domain fell outside the GOV.IN framework and was not renewed, it was grabbed by unauthorised interests. The hijacked domain now displays advertisements for jobs such as Staff Nurse and Lab Technician, even instructing applicants that “MPSACSB Application Form 2025 shall be submitted through the website mpsacsb.org.” These false postings mimic official recruitment notices, misleading citizens into believing they are engaging with a legitimate govt portal. When contacted, MPSACS project director, Suchismita Saxena said, “The matter would be investigated. Our priority is to roll out a new website MPSACS.in.” Had the domain been retained or transitioned properly to a .gov.in address, this risk could have been avoided but now it stands as a reminder of oversight on World AIDS Day.
