Layoff News: Omnicom Axes 4,000 Jobs in Massive Post-Merger Purge | Companies
December 3, 2025

Announced on December 1, 2025, the cuts will shrink the combined workforce to around 105,000, down from IPG’s 51,000 and Omnicom’s 75,000 pre-merger. IPG alone axed 3,200 jobs in the first nine months of 2025, plus 2,400 earlier in the year, while Omnicom trimmed 3,000 last year. CEO John Wren called it “necessary for synergies,” but insiders whisper it’s survival mode against Big Tech’s ad dominance.
