In Jaisalmer, miscreants attacked villagers with sticks at the protest site. They threatened them.
Villagers protesting for employment in front of a private solar company in Jaisalmer were allegedly attacked by a group of men on Tuesday. The incident occurred around 2 PM in Kotha village under Jhinjhinyali police station.
The miscreants reportedly uprooted the protest tent, tore posters, and assaulted those present. A video of the incident has also surfaced. Villagers have filed a complaint demanding strict action against the attackers.
‘They chased and beat us with sticks’
Lakshman Singh, a resident of Kotha, said local farmers had leased their agricultural land to a private solar company. In return, they were promised employment but no jobs were provided. He said that for the past 15 days, he and 12 other villagers had been on protest demanding the promised jobs.

On Tuesday around 2 PM, miscreants suddenly arrived at the protest site. They tore down posters and uprooted the tent.

The miscreants assaulted villagers present at the protest site, one villager was injured.
According to him, two security guards of the company and 10–12 others arrived at the site in a pickup vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. They started removing the tent. When villagers objected, the group allegedly pushed them, chased them, and beat them with sticks. Posters placed at the protest site were torn down, and the tent was completely uprooted.
Complaint filed; police begin investigation
Villager Ven Singh submitted a complaint at Jhinjhinyali police station, stating that one protester, Ganpat Singh, sustained injuries and was taken to the Community Health Center (CHC), where he is undergoing treatment.
Jhinjhinyali Station Officer Khama Ram Vishnoi confirmed receiving the complaint. He said allegations include assault by two company guards and others, uprooting of tents, and issuing threats, including death threats. A case has been registered, and the officer said arrests will be made soon as the investigation progresses.
