Hajj subsidy for first-time pilgrims in Tamil Nadu raised to Rs 35,000 in Budget 2026-27

Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Marie Wilson announced in the 2026-27 Budget that the state Hajj subsidy for first-time pilgrims will be increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000, providing an additional Rs 10,000 in financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries undertaking the pilgrimage for the first time.
