Delhi-NCR Rain Fury: Gurugram Under Orange Alert, Work From Home Advisory Issued For August 25

Heavy rain and strong winds battered Delhi-NCR, causing widespread waterlogging, traffic jams and major flight disruptions. Nearly 400 flights were delayed, 26 cancelled and 15 diverted, while Gurugram and Faridabad remained under an IMD orange alert. Gurugram authorities advised offices, schools and institutions to allow work from home on August 25 after severe waterlogging triggered a four-kilometre jam on Sohna Road. Delhi’s MB Road and Ghaziabad’s NH-9 also witnessed major disruptions. Meanwhile, showers at India Gate brought relief from heat and humidity. More rainfall is expected across Delhi-NCR in the coming days. Watch
